The Christian Church's (Disciples of Christ) vision is to be a faithful, growing church, that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice. (Micah 6:8)

The D.O.C.'s mission is to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps "to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Cluster 5

Informally, within our area, we are also part of Cluster 5. Cluster 5 gathers for a community meal and hymn-sings each 5th Sunday.

The Chalice is the symbol of the Christian Church (DOC). Used since the General Assembly in 1971, it points to the centrality of the Lord’s Supper in the life and worship of the Disciples. The cross of St. Andrew, national cross of Scotland, focuses attention on the Scottish roots of early Disciple leaders, Thomas and Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone. When in color, the chalice is red, signifying vitality, spirit and sacrifice.
